A Celebration🇭🇹

Did you know the Month of May is Haitian Heritage Month? Haitian Flag day is celebrated on May 18th every year. This is the anniversary of the flag’s adoption in 1803. Not only is Haiti, named Ayiti, in French Creole, the only successful slave revolt in the history of humanity, it is also known as the first free black republic in the world. This is a very special time where people all around the world get to celebrate the resilience, the courage, the beauty, the history, the depth, wealth of everything that this small but wondrous and mighty country, and the people of this country has not only endured but also overcame.
