LET THE WATERS FLOW

Happy New Year! I'd like to share my rendition of Emily Dickinson's poem on Hope. This poem can be interpreted in so many different ways. For me, it is about the brilliance that we all have within ourselves, in the midst of life's ever-so changing waves. I have held on to my faith in God, ever since I was just fourteen years old. I remember deciding wholeheartedly to walk the journey of Christianity, because I believed there was more to life, beyond what eyes could see. It takes commitment and an inner knowing of who you are to continue to walk the walk of faith. And on this journey, I've learned where there is faith, there has to be hope, not only will it keep you anchored but it can certainly propel wings, you didn't realize you had all along to fly. I've realized that hope is a condition of your mind and soul, if you steadfastly choose to believe in the steadfast love within your own being, then you will inevitably experience the "perching" of those wings needed to fly.

In addition to my rendition of Emily's poem on HOPE, I've also included my newest poem "LET THE WATERS FLOW" to remind us all of HUMANITY'S INTERCONNECTEDNESS as we embrace hope through the lens of agape love. It has been devastatingly heart-wrenching to see the fires in L.A., California this past couple of weeks. "Let the waters flow," is my offering as a reminder of hope during these tumultuous times, for all impacted.
